| Abstract | “The use of short message service (sms) in the world of information technology is rapidly evolving. One is the direct health consultation with experts via sms. Expert system is a computer application that can act like an expert. The addition of SMS gateway module in the expert system will overcome the limitations of experts in terms of time. This module is used for the process reasoning (inference) for consultation. There are two methods of inference which will be analyzed this time the forward chaining and backward chaining. Both methods have advantages and limitations in the process of inference. Case studies on health is quite interesting to be discussed, will be given a thorough utilization to human welfare. Expert at this time is taking a first aid book doctor in your home. Some parts of this expert knowledge will be used as a reference as a reference in the analysis of effectiveness, and efficiency of both inference methods.” |
